If you are an adventurous shopper seek out one of the many shops located in charming shopping centers scattered throughout Palm Coast. Palm Coast's boasts a wide variety of motels from up scale resorts and affordable family friendly accommodation which are perfectly located for making day visits to one of the many nearby attractions. St. Augustine, the oldest city in the nation, is half an hour to the north, Daytona Beach's beautiful white sand beaches are a half an hour to the south. Marineland, on A1A, a short drive away. 3-day birding fest starts Friday in Palm Coast 2/7
The Birds of a Feather fest, a three-day festival with events in Flagler and Volusia counties and field trips to other counties, is set to kick off Friday.

City and county officials gathered Thursday to officially mark the completion of a major project that widened Palm Coast Parkway from four to six lanes, added landscaping, enhanced pedestrian and bicycle safety, and reduced traffic congestion.

So you've heard of the City of Palm Coast's new Birds of a Feather Fest coming up Feb. 6-8, but you're a beginner and/or you have children. So how does a beginner or a young family get started in birding?

Palm Coast’s Starlight Holiday Parade event will get under way at 4 p.m. Saturday at Central Park in Town Centre, 975 Central Ave. in Palm Coast, with live music by Cocobean steel drum band and the Flagler Palm Coast High School soloists. At 7 p.m., the parade will start from the Central Avenue roundabout, turn left on Park Street and continue around Central Park on Lake Avenue and City Place, exiting onto Bulldog Drive.
